Normalize tabulation characters in the source string by replacing them with the specified replacement string.

Parameters

input  String
The input string.
replaceConsecutiveTabs  Boolean  (Optional)
Optional. If true, groups consecutive tabulation characters into a single one, and replaces it with the value specified in replacementString; otherwise, replaces one by one each tabulation character with the value specified in replacementString.

Default value is: True

replacementString  String  (Optional)
Optional. The string used to replace tabulation characters in the source string.

This value can be null, in which case all the tabulation characters will be removed from the source string.

Default value is: " " (a single white-space)

Return Value

String
The resulting text with tabulation characters replaced with the specified replacement string.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type String. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
